The redesign of the Mercedes-Benz SLK 340 Judd is probably the most successful project of Carlsson tuner.
This racy SLK by Carlsson features a carbon-fiber bodyshell. Thanks to the extensive use of this ultra-light yet rigid component, German tuners have achieved a curb weight of just 1,720 pounds. The brake system made out of light-weight materials saves extra weight. The racer features advanced construction techniques.
The SLK 340 Judd by Carlsson is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 engine, which pumps out 610 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is coupled with a Hewland transmission with paddle shift operation and a 3-way adjustable KW competition suspension.

The race car wears BBS wheels (10×18 front, 13×18 rear) and AVON tires. The exterior is also highlighted by a powerful rear wing.
Maximum support and maximum safety are offered by a complex safety cage, and Carlsson `racing seats from Fibreworks.
The Carlsson SLK 340 Judd was presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
