One of the iconic car brands – Lamborghini, celebrates its centenary with a completely different concept model – the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4. The idea was firstly revealed in an interview with company’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
The Lamborghini Centenario commemorates the brand’s 100th Anniversary. As usual, the debut of the limited edition is scheduled for March when the Geneva Motor Show takes place.
Lamborghini Centenario Design
The centenary edition features unique styling that significantly differs from current models design. The Lamborghini Centenario is definitely not a successor of the production models Huracán and Aventador.
As other one-offs such as Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and Lamborghini Veneno, the Centenario has an extraordinary appearance and extreme temperament. Speaking about design, the limited run supercar combines tradition and innovation. The coupe bodystyle accentuates the performance and power of the vehicle.
The heart of the Lamborghini Centenario limited edition is a variation of the brand’s 6.5-litre V12 engine delivering 740hp. The power train could be upgraded to 760hp. The limited edition supercar comes with an all-wheel-drive system. The car accelerates to 60mph in 2.5 seconds.
Twenty super car collectors will be able to purchase a Centenario and drive this exceptional vehicle. It is almost certain that all the units have already sold out.
The company was found by Ferrucio Lamborghini. By launching a new hypercar, in 2016 Lamborghini celebrates 100 years since founder’s birth. The premiere initiates the celebration of the brand’s 100 years of traditions.
The Geneva Motor Show is the venue of the most thrilling Lamborghini debuts. Three years ago the Lamborghini Veneno was showcased at the prestigious car expo.
