Koenigsegg CC8S sports car

The Koenigsegg CC8S is the first brand production car but at the same time it is one of the rarest Swedish super vehicles since there are only 6 units manufactured. All the sports cars feature individual characteristics that make each of them exclusive. The CC8S model was available on the market between 2002 and 2003 at a price starting at $350 000.

Engine capacity and performance

The heart of the Koenigsegg CC8S is a 4.7 liter V8 engine that delivers 655 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 550 ft-lb of torque at 5,000 RPM. It is mated to a six speed manual transmission. The aluminum powertrain features 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead cam-shafts, and a carbon fibre cover.

This Koenigsegg`s sports car accelerates to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. The top speeds seem to be very impressive even now – 242 mph.

Design

The first Koenigsegg production car model has a minimalistic yet elegant sports exterior. The main highlight of the design is the Targa removable carbon top. Swedish car engineers have used for the first time the angular door actuation system which later became a brand distinctive feature. The sports car has two doors and two seats. The main construction is made out of armor-plated carbon fiber. The exclusive exterior is accessorized with Michelin Pilot sport 2 tyres and magnesium alloy wheels with central locking tool.

The interior can be tailor-made depending on the buyer`s expectations. All the units produced are plated with precious metals.

Koenigsegg Quant Powertrain

The NLV`s innovative accumulator unit is combined with a thin-flm solar-cell coating. The electric power generation and storage, combined with the aerodynamic engineering, guarantee that the Quant is able to charge to full capacity in 20 minutes. The range before next charging is around 500 kilometres. The invisible, thin-flm photovoltaic coating that covers the body of the car, adds extra power and the range potential to the vehicle.

Koenigsegg Quant Concept

Battery-powered Koenigsegg Quant boasts an impressive 512 hp and maximum torque of 715. The drivetrain allows the concept to accelerate from 0 to100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 275 km/h.

The Koenigsegg Quant Concept features an ultra low weight due to the extensive use of a carbon-fibre. The vehicle features a monotube backbone chassis and an aluminium/carbon body, which house the drivetrain system weighing only 450 kg.

The high-end Koenigsegg styling gives the car a luxurious look. The concept features functional design, comfort and loading capacity. The four-seater has a gull-wing doors. They provide easy access to the car, due to the lack of B-pillars.
