The latest Bluebird racing car looks out of this world! It will compete in the FIA’s upcoming Formula E. The British athlete features an enclosed cockpit, eye-catching color and lines.
The Bluebird GTL prototype is an all-electric vehicle. On its premiere, the supercar was surrounded by other legendary Bluebird cars and boats in the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London.
Some of the iconic vehicles on display include the first Blue Bird built in 1912 – Lorraine-Dietrich Vieux Charles III, as well as the Sunbeam (1924). Visitors are able to enjoy the Bluebird K3 boat which took the first Water Speed record in 1937 at 126mph on Lake Maggiore.
More recent vehicles include Bluebird Electric 2000 – a UK record-holder for an electric car with 137mph on Pendine Sands in 2000, as well as the Agfa Bluebird II in which Gina Campbell took the world water speed record for women at 122.8mph in 1984.
