Tesla Model S – The Winner in “Best of What’s New awards”

The radically innovative electric car Tesla Model S is the winner in the automotive category of the Best of What’s New awards.

The engineers and designers of the Tesla Model S sets standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured. The car is considered the most aerodynamic car on sale and one of the safest in a head-on collision.

The Tesla Model S boasts 414bhp. After a full charge, the car runs about five hours and the estimated range is about 265 miles.

Another eco-friendly car – BMW 328i with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, grabbed a prestigious award because it is more powerful than one with a six-cylinder drivetrain. The mighty yet efficient drivetrain produces 255 lb-ft of torque at just 1250 rpm. The 328i sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.

The fuel efficient Ferrari F12 Berlinetta combines power, striking top speed and 30 percent fuel economy than the previous brand model 599 Fiorano. The impressive F12 Berlinetta boasts 730bhp and 509lb ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 3.1secs. The fastest and quickest ever road car costs £239,736.

The Delta Wing gets a prize for being the most efficient racer ever. The car is powered by 4 cylinder 1.6-litre Nissan Direct Injection Gasoline-Turbo engine delivering 300bhp at 7400 rpm.
