The newest member of the “i” brand shines with its state-of-the-art design. The main highlight of the zero-emission car is the three-door architecture. The car features a carbon-fibre body that leaves an impression of lightness, transparency and aerodynamics.

BMW i3 Performance

The i3 is an all-electric version of the BMW eDrive technology. The concept is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 125 kW/170 hp and peak torque of 250 Newton metres (184 lb-ft). The powertrain is linked to a single-speed transmission. The motor is combined with a lithium-ion battery placed under the floor. The low centre of gravity adds to the sensationally agile nature.

The range with an all-electric drive depends on driving style. Drivers can opt for three driving modes – COMFORT, ECO PRO and ECO PRO+. The ECO PRO+ offers maximum driving range but the speed is limited to 90 km/h (56 mph).

The BMW eDrive system allows the eco-friendly car to cover a distance of around 160 kilometres (100 miles) on a full battery charge.
